It was in 1984 that this journey commenced within the confines of a humble condo in Pompano Beach, Florida. Luis Echarte and his son, our co-founder Arturo Echarte, were ahead of their time when they realized courier services were in high demand.  Soon, they had the opportunity to expand into courier and mail services.  They learned they could presort mail, and with that, extend USPS’ work-sharing discounts with their clients. A business was born. Starting with a single batch of mail and a client-centric philosophy, we have expanded operations nationwide, totaling more than 500k square feet across facilities and quadrupling our revenue in the last four years, bringing it to over $500+ million in annual revenue.

PCI expanded its capabilities to include not only print and mail solutions, but also fulfillment, signs, promotional, packaging and creative marketing, adapting to an ever-changing marketplace, while keeping its clients-centric approach untouched and steadfast in an entrepreneurial spirit of partnership, collaboration, integrity, and respect.

A Mail Revolution Starts

Postal Center International (PCI), founded and operated by Arturo Echarte, opened its doors, combining courier and mail processing discounts, which created a competitive niche in the industry. By offering programs like Presort, Certified Mail, Parcels, Low Volume Program, Daily Metering and Priority Processing, PCI’s business began to flourish, pushing the envelope for all clients.

Co-Owner + Founder Susan Echarte officially joins the business and drives programs and initiatives that build further value into the organization, that now becomes the go to company for mail, in Florida.

Commingling Begins

PCI begins its commingling mail services. Commingling, the process of combining multiple mail streams into one larger mail stream, gives clients the opportunity to expand reach and reduce spend by taking part in the USPS “work share” program, inducting your mail into the USPS mail streams faster.

B&W Variable and Transactional Digital Printing

PCI adds B&W Variable and Transactional Digital Printing to its suite of solutions. The company provides faster, more efficient turnaround to clients’ correspondences, expediting and clearing the way for USPS in-home delivery.

PCI acquires Commercial Mail Services (CMS)

After adding USPS mail address validation with National Change of Address, Fast Forward, and Ancillary Service Endorsements to its mail solutions, PCI acquires Commercial Mail Services (CMS), bringing an additional 26 million more mail pieces annually to PCI’s Powerhouse. This acquisition allows PCI the opportunity to offer additional postage savings to clients.

Color Printing

PCI adds color to its printing services! PCI eliminates the need for pre-printed color shells, which allows clients the flexibility to add color to their outgoing correspondences.

A New Era

Ismael Diaz joins PCI. The addition of a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt Executive of this caliber to the Executive team was the beginning of a whole new era for PCI. Under Ismael’s leadership and client-centric vision PCI begins acquiring new clients and expanding at rapid speed.

PCI dives into continuous feed production inkjet technology which grows PCI’s suite of solutions into the transactional printing space.

Expanded Footprint

PCI acquires Miami-based Original Impressions (OI); together PCI and OI combine services to form the leading print, mail + marketing solutions partner in South Florida. With the evergrowing demand for reliable, secure, and affordable printing, PCI then decides to expand its footprint and adds 10,000 square feet of production space to its National Headquarters.

Power Leader

Ismael Diaz, president of PCI, was named a Power Leader by the South Florida Business Journal. The company was named a South Florida Business Journal “Business of the Year” finalist in 2017 and 2018. PCI invested heavily in its information security program, becoming SOC 2, Type II and HITRUST certified.

The Powerhouse On the Move

The Company moves into its new corporate headquarters in Weston, FL. The new corporate headquarters increases the Company’s current footprint to more than 234,000 square feet of office, production and warehouse space. In the same year, PCI launched its new business continuity and disaster recovery program. PCI Celebrates 35th Anniversary. The Company celebrates its 35th Anniversary, saluting its founders and celebrating its 250+ associates across its family of brands.

PCI announces the purchase of Arrowmail, a Miami-based print and mail service provider. The acquisition is part of PCI’s long-term strategy to secure its leadership position in high-speed, presort mailing services.

San Antonio, Texas

PCI signs a multi-year lease agreement in San Antonio, Texas for the first in a series of new sites across the country. This PCI location encompasses 100,000 square feet of office and production space, opening room to expand both its mail and print divisions.

PCI starts the year being awarded 2023 Business of the Year, by the prestigious South Florida Business Journal. Moving forward with its expansion, PCI grows its signs & fulfillment divisions and announces a new 100,000-square foot location in Davie, FL, opening room for more Print and Mail at its National Headquarters. Following this announcement, PCI brings its nearly 40 years of experience and national presence to New England with a Mail Revolution that is here to bring a better alternative and mail savings never seen before. The newest 40,000 square foot PCI Mail Presort facility is now open and ready to serve you.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is an information security standard used to handle credit cards from major card brands. The standard is administered by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, and its use is mandated by the card brands.

HITRUST created the HITRUST Common Security Framework (CSF) to provide an objective, measurable way to manage the security risks that come with handling healthcare information and other sensitive data.

Is the leading provider of comprehensive, validated third-party risk assessments. Our certification validates our internal policies and procedures against the industry’s most mature and rigorous third-party risk management practices for best-in-class information collection and validation.

PCI is HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) certified. We ensure the privacy and security of clients’ data via safeguards throughout the workflow process that protect health information, specifically in electronic form safe from disasters, hackers, and electronic theft.

We are also SOC 2, Type II certified. This Service Organization Control (SOC) report is conducted by a certified public accounting firm to ensure data security and compliance. It encompasses five trust service principles – Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality and Privacy – as it relates to managing and processing data.

We are a USPS Business Alliance Partner with an In-house Detached Mail Unit (DMU) and local clerk to inspect mail daily and ensure that all USPS presort mailing requirements are met.
