PCI Wins Gold in Aetna’s Workplace Award

by | Sep 22, 2025

In a powerful leap forward, Postal Center International (PCI) has been honored with a Gold recognition in the 2025 Aetna Workplace Well-being Award— a clear sign that the mail industry leader’s strong focus on its associates’ health and wellness is paying off in a big way. Just last year, the company earned Bronze.

The Aetna Workplace Well-being Award, started in 2017, celebrates companies that prioritize their employees’ health and happiness. Winners are chosen for programs that support healthier lifestyles, improve safety, and build a positive culture. PCI has stood out for its holistic approach—looking after the body, mind, and environment of its associates.

Ismael Diaz, President & CEO of PCI, was delighted at the company’s latest accolade and sees PCI’s associates as its greatest asset: “Our people are our greatest strength, and this Gold recognition shows how much we value them. When our associates feel healthy and supported, they do their best work and help PCI succeed.”

For more than 40 years, PCI has built a reputation for innovation and excellence in its field, and for creating a workplace where associates can thrive. With operations spanning the Southeast, Southwest, Northeast, Midwest, West, and Mid-Atlantic regions, PCI continues to grow nationally while staying focused on the well-being of its people.

PCI offers benefits that go beyond the ordinary. Associates can receive gym membership reimbursements, enjoy a paid day off for their birthdays, and have comprehensive disability insurance. But the program does not stop there. PCI also focuses on social well-being by offering language learning classes to bridge cultural gaps and create a more inclusive workplace.

One of the highlights of the year was PCI’s second annual Wellness Week, held on June 25-27 across its Southeast, Southwest, and Northeast locations. Associates took part in biometric screenings, blood pressure tests, and other health checks. They also attended sessions with leading organizations like the National Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, American Lung Association, Nex-Gen – Gift of Life, and Aetna. These events gave the workforce valuable tools and information to take control of their health. To add a special touch, PCI treated associates to complimentary massages, making wellness both educational and enjoyable.

PCI also ties wellness to safety and community. The company runs a dedicated Safety Program to ensure a secure workplace, organizes Earth Day activities to promote environmental health, and leads volunteer projects that support local communities. Together, these efforts show that PCI’s wellness vision goes far beyond the office walls.

Dennis R. Garcia, Executive Vice President & CFO, who oversees PCI’s HR Department, linked wellness directly to PCI’s long-term goals: “Taking care of our people is not only the right thing to do—it also makes PCI stronger as a business. Healthier, happier associates mean greater engagement, lower turnover, and continued growth. This Gold award proves we are moving in the right direction.”

For PCI, the Aetna Gold Award is more than a trophy. It’s proof of the company’s growing reputation as an employer of choice in today’s competitive market. With associates spread across multiple regions, a strong history of leadership in mail solutions, and a culture built on care, PCI continues to show that wellness, safety, and inclusivity are at the heart of its success.

This recognition adds to PCI’s expanding list of honors, including being ranked among South Florida’s Fastest-Growing Companies and winning the South Business Journal’s Business of the Year Award in 2023. Ismael Diaz and Dennis R. Garcia were lauded as Power Leader and CFO of the Year Award in 2019 and 2025, respectively. Together, these achievements highlight PCI’s dual commitment to industry excellence and the well-being of its people.
